Finding Forever Love
Frequently Asked Questions

What inspired her to write this book?
She came from a very abusive marriage of many years. It had been a destructive force in her life and she was determined to move beyond it. When she met her second husband, their relationship blossomed into a once in a lifetime love. He had come from an abusive and destructive past as well. Having finally found forever love, they wanted to preserve their story. They decided the best way to do that was to write and publish a book.
The book is not only a symbol of the blessings in their lives and the love they share, but it was written with the intent to inspire others. The theme of the book is to never give up- not on yourself and not on the Lord. Press forward, doing everything you can and you too can find happiness.

Is any part of the book based upon actual events in her life?
Yes and no. The events and circumstances in the book are completely fictitious. However, the spirit of their love is written into the romance and love between Tracey and Tyler. Their interactions with one another are, for the most part true. For example, meeting on an LDS singles site, the emails and their confessions of love and feelings for one other are true and actually did happen. She and her husband do in fact live in Joplin, Missouri. The rest of the story was crafted around preserving the spirit and story of their romance and love, and is fiction.

Why did she incorporate an internet singles site in the book?
She and her husband did actually meet on a popular LDS singles web site. Incidentally, their first chat session in the book is as it happened. These details are significant in preserving their story.
There is no doubt that technology plays an important part in our society, for many reasons, which include connecting with other people under various circumstances. The internet is simply a tool- it is a means to an end, not the end. Like any tool, it needs to be used correctly. There are lots of stories of people getting connected via the internet- some bad and some good. Fortunately, her experience turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to her in her life.

Why did she write a book that is directed at an LDS audience?
Because the intent of the book was to forever preserve their story, it necessitated an LDS theme. Both she and her husband are devout and practicing members of the LDS (Mormon) faith. That aspect of their lives greatly enhances and fosters the love they share, not only between themselves, but with and towards their family as well.
Even though the story is written with a slant towards an LDS audience, the story is universal and transcends all religious and societal boundaries. The story is a great love story at heart, with obstacles, trials and tribulations along the way that need to be overcome and conquered. It is a story of the triumph of the human spirit to rise above the abuse and oppression of a dysfunctional and unrighteously dominated relationship.

What does she want the reader to take away from this book?
Life is full of difficult challenges and obstacles. But that doesn't mean that you have to put up with abuse. Never lose sight of your potential and your self worth. Keep the Lord in your life every day, not just when the chips are down and you really need divine intervention. And perhaps most importantly, never give up. Press forward, even in spite of what may seem to be an impossible situation. Keep your faith and look to the Lord for guidance, solace and endurance. It may take some time for the storm to pass but eventually the sun will rise again and there will be a better, brighter tomorrow.
Finding true love and happiness is not accidental. You have to be prepared to be the good and loving person in order to find and keep a good and loving person in your life. And don't forget to pray. When you find that person you think is your soul mate, ask the Lord for that confirmation. When you do as the Lord requires, He is bound by His word to you, but you've got to do your part first. When you do, the Lord will truely bless you.

Will there be a sequel to the book?
Yes. In the sequel, the story will continue with Tracey and Tyler's struggles. There will be many unexpected twists and turns as their life together continues. There will be tragedies that will test the limits of their love and faith.
